Synopsis

The psychosocial risks affect the health and well-being, in a physical, psychological, social and work
quality level. This investigation presents a diagnosis of the psychosocial environment of the local public administration employees, in Comunidade Intermunicipal do Cávado. It is based on a quantitative descriptive analysis of psychosocial risk indicators, using COPSOQ III. It also provides information about the risks, the existing psychosocial dangers and how they can affect the lives of exposed people. The most significant psychosocial risk factors, which potentially contribute to increased health risk, are related to job requirements, interpersonal relationships and leadership, workplace values, job-individual interface, and health and wellness.
